Link a website in HTML editor
You can insert a link to a website in an HTML field.
Before you begin
Role required: the role necessary to update the record that contains the HTML field. For example, any user with a role can create a knowledge article and link to a website in the article text.
Procedure
Move the cursor to the position where the link is to appear.
Select the insert/edit link icon in the HTML toolbar.
Enter information in each field.
| Field | Description |

| URL | Enter the URL for the link. Copying and pasting is usually the easiest method. |
| Text | Enter the text you want to display for the link. |
| Target | Select the target window for the URL.For files, the None (use implicit) selection is generally the best choice. However, if you're linking to a complete web page, choose New window (_blank) so the browser opens the link in a new tab or window. |
- Select OK to insert the link into the field.
