Using Advanced Approval Management

Sales teams can use workflows for approving Sales Customer Relationship Management entities such as customer quotes. Workflows begin with approval requests submitted by sales agents, which are then routed for approval by designated approvers.

  • Tracking approval status and history
Monitor the progress of an approval request as it moves through the steps in an approval workflow.
  • Working with approval requests as a requester
As a requester with the approval request writer role, when you submit your request for approval, you preview it, then request approval. You can also recall a request if you need to make changes or update a request if it was rejected, then resubmit it for approval.
  • Submit a quote for approval
Submit a quote for approval when you have configured approval rules that require authorization before the quote can be completed.
  • Add ad-hoc approvers to an approval request
As a requester or an approver, add one or more ad-hoc approvers to an approval request in Advanced Approval Management.
  • Working with approval requests as an approver
As an approver, you can approve or reject the requests in the approval workflow or from the notifications informing you of approval requests for items such as customer quotes. You may also receive approval reminders for pending approval requests.
  • Review and approve a submitted quote
As an approver, review the details of a submitted quote and approve the request when it meets your organization's requirements.
  • Reject or return a quote for revision
As an approver, reject or return a submitted quote when it does not meet organizational requirements. The quote requester can then revise and resubmit for approval.
  • View approval history and track status
Track the progress of submitted quote approval requests. View the complete history of approvals and rejections for audit and reference.
