How users consent to tracking in Usage Insights

An individual can select to opt in or opt out of Usage Insights advanced tracking at any time.

About this task

You can opt in or opt out of advanced tracking on a mobile device, in the Service Portal, or in the web-based UI. The selection to either opt in or opt out applies to all areas where Usage Insights advanced tracking takes place.

Procedure

  1. Access a platform to configure Usage Insights advanced tracking settings either via your mobile application, the Service Portal, or the web-based UI.

  1. Tap More (

  2. Tap Settings (

  3. On the Settings page, tap the Analytics option.
  4. Either enable the Enable Analytics button to opt in to advanced tracking, or turn off the Enable Analytics button to opt out of advanced tracking.
Web-based UI
  1. Navigate to All > Usage Tracking Consent > Enable/Disable Tracking.
  2. Select or clear Enable Tracking to opt in to or opt out of advanced tracking.
  3. Select Save.
Service Portal
  1. Select the User menu.
  2. Select Profile > User Preferences
  3. On the User Preferences page, select Enable Analytics.
