Request repair of defective enterprise assets

As an enterprise asset manager, you can get the defective enterprise assets repaired by creating Repair orders.

You can request repair of defective hardware assets through any of the following options:

• Request repair of enterprise assets using Service Catalog
• Create repair orders for enterprise assets in the Inventory view
• Request repair of an enterprise asset using the Repair option

Note:

Consider the following points when you create a repair order:

• You can't request repair of the following assets:
  • Consumables
  • Assets that are part of any other workflow

• You can request repair of a child asset only if you have added its parent asset to the repair order. However, assets in the pallets can be repaired.

• Request repair of enterprise assets using Service Catalog
  Submit a Service Catalog request to repair enterprise assets that are defective or pending repair in your stockroom.

• Create repair orders for enterprise assets in the Inventory view
  Request repair of enterprise assets that are defective or pending repair by creating a repair order in the Inventory view of Enterprise Asset Workspace.
• Request repair of an enterprise asset using the Repair option
  Request repair of a defective enterprise asset in your stockroom directly through the asset form.
