Create an onboarding order for enterprise assets in the Enterprise Asset Workspace

Create an onboarding order in the Asset operations view to initiate the onboarding of multiple enterprise assets.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_eam.enterprise_asset_technician

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Workspaces > Enterprise Asset Workspace > Asset operations.

  2. From the Onboarding list, select Onboarding order.

  3. Select New.

  4. On the form, fill in the fields.

FieldDescription
Requested forPerson for whom the asset is requested.This field is optional.
Stockroom

Stockroom where onboarded asset will be stored.This field is required.

Note: When you select the stockroom, the Location field is automatically populated with the stockroom location.

Due dateDate by when the asset onboarding should be complete.This field is optional.
  1. Determine whether you want to onboard assets of an existing model or a new model.
Type of asset modelAction
Existing modelIn the Model field, select the asset model.
New model
  1. Select the Is new model check box.
  2. Enter the values in the following fields:
  3. Manufacturer name
  4. Model name
  5. Model number
  6. Short description
  1. Select Save.

Result

  • An onboarding order in the Draft stage is created and displayed in the Onboarding order list.
  • The Add asset details option is displayed on the onboarding order.
