Upload and manage documents in the third-party portal

Use the third-party portal to upload and manage documents for assessments, engagements, issues, and tasks in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM).

Before you begin

Role required: Primary contacts can complete all actions while secondary contacts must be assigned read and write access.

About this task

Third parties and engagement owners can upload and manage documents directly in the portal. Uploaded documents can include contracts, policies, or compliance evidence and can be linked to assessments, engagements, and related tasks.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Third-party portal at https://<myCompany>.service-now.com/svdp.

  2. Select the Documents tab, and then select Create document to upload a document.

  3. On the form, fill in the fields.

    For descriptions of all these fields, see Create new document form.

  4. Attach the document file.

  5. Select Submit to save the document record.

    If the file upload fails, check the file size and format restrictions and retry. If permissions prevent upload, request access from the engagement owner.

  6. When managing documents, you have the following actions available.

Add or edit detailsSelect the Details tab to review and update the document details.
Add versionSelect the Version history tab to review existing versions of the document.Select Add version upload a new version of the document.
Add referencesSelect the References section to review existing references. You can add or remove tasks, issues, engagements, or assessment references. For example, navigate to Tasks and select Add tasks.
Update permissionsSelect the Permissions tab to review existing permissions. The primary contact can update and remove read and write access.
Download latest attachmentSelect Download latest attachment to download the latest version of the document. This option isn’t available for documents provided as a URL.
SaveSelect Save to save all changes made to every section of the document.
