Create an entity configuration

Create an organizational structure by configuring entity-based access for different levels such as headquarters, regional offices, and subsidiaries. Define access rules for users and groups.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_privacy.admin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Entity Based Access Configurations > Entity Configurations.

  2. Select New to open the Entity Access Configuration form.

  3. Create entities for each level of your organization, such as global headquarters, regional offices, and country subsidiaries.

    On the FORM_TITLE, fill in the fields.

FieldDescription
Configuration typeType of entity access configuration, such as Entity.
EntityName of the entity for which entity-based access is being configured.
ApplicabilityOption to define whether access applies to the selected entity only, or to the selected entity and downstream entities. Available options are:- Selected entity only - Selected entity and downstream entities
UsersUsers that the access is configured for.
User groupsUser groups that the access is configured for.
Entity user fieldsUser fields on the Entity table that should be granted access.
Entity group fieldsUser group fields on the Entity table that the access should be granted to.
DescriptionDescription of the entity configuration.
ActiveOption to set the configuration to active to enforce the access rules.
  1. Select Submit.
