Configure impact category for BIA

Configure an impact category for your business, when you are performing the business impact analysis. Use the Impact Categories module in the Business Continuity Management application navigator to define the name, criteria that the impact category contributes to, applicable timeframes, maximum RTO value, and so on.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_bcm.admin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Business Continuity > General Administration > Impact Categories.

  2. Select New.

    The example shows the impact ratings that are installed with demo data for an impact category.

  1. On the form, fill in the fields.

    For more information on the fields in the form, see Impact Category record form.

  2. Select Submit.

  3. Impact Category record form
    Use the Impact Category record form to add details about the impact category such as name, criteria that the impact category contributes to, applicable timeframes, maximum RTO value, and so on in BCM UIB Workspace.
