Clone a work order task
Clone existing tasks to quickly create new tasks.
Before you begin
Role required: wm_qualifier or qualifier combination role
About this task
In the cloning process, the following information is copied from the source task:
- Parent work order reference
- Short description
- Description
- Dispatch group
- Assignment group
- Location
- Planned information (scheduled and estimated, no actuals)
- Required skills
Procedure
Open the task from the related list in a work order.
Select the Clone Task related link.

This creates a new task in **Draft** state.
An entry in the **Work Notes** field contains the original task number and text stating that the task is a clone.
