Configuring Workplace Services Kiosk

Plan and configure your Workplace Services Kiosk installation.

Configuration overview

Note:

• The kiosk device automatically maintains the session before it times out. The session timeout value can be configured in the glide.ui.session_timeout property.

• The kiosk header contains the session refresh API; ensure that you do not remove or replace the kiosk theme or the kiosk header.

• Install Workplace Services Kiosk
  Install the Workplace Services Kiosk application from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store to view all the available apps, and for information about submitting requests to the store. For cumulative release notes information for all released apps, see the ServiceNow Store version history release notes.

• Create a kiosk configuration
  Create a kiosk configuration, assign a homepage, and link a kiosk device module.
• Create a kiosk homepage
  Create a homepage configuration that is displayed when a user opens the kiosk device.
• Create a kiosk module
  Create a kiosk module and module configurations to decide the flow and pages that must be displayed on a kiosk.
• Customize the kiosk header
  Customize the kiosk header by editing the CSS code of the Kiosk Header record.
• Configure Reservable Module for kiosk reservation
  Configure the Reservable Module for Workplace Services Kiosk to enable employees and guests to make reservations. Employees and guests can find available spaces on the kiosk map and make reservations.
• Setup a kiosk on a physical device for reservations
  Kiosk operators can bind the kiosk configuration to a physical device for employees and guests to make workplace reservations.
