Administer and maintain the Talent Development Core app

Administering and maintaining the Talent Development Core app requires the role of a ServiceNow administrator or an Talent admin.

Anyone that is assigned the Talent Development Core admin role [sn_egd_core.admin] can maintain Growth Plans, Administration, and Aspirations features and configurations.

• Growth Plans

  A Talent Development Core admin administers the core application, which is theGrowth Plans Outcome Types, Activity Types, Activity Categories, Activity Templates, and Activity Template Recommendations.

• Administration

  Set Properties Talent Development Core properties, including manager skill approvals, activities settings on launch, and usage of the Skills Foundation application.

• Aspirations

  • Aspirations are created to help employees identify and track personal and work related goals.
  • Administrators define Aspiration Types that are displayed in the user interface. Employees select different Aspiration Types that help them to meet goals.
  • Create Interests that are available for employees to select when creating an aspiration.

• Create Talent Development Outcome Types
  As an Talent admin you create outcome types that can be used in growth plans.

• Create Talent Development Activity Types
  As a Talent Development Core admin you create Activity Types that are used in growth plans.
• Create Talent Development Core Activity Categories
  As an Talent Development Core admin you create Activity Categories that are used in growth plans.
• Create Talent Development Activity Templates
  As a Talent Development Core admin you create Activity Templates that are used in growth plans.
• Create Talent Development Activity Recommendations
  As an Talent admin you create Activity Template Recommendations that are used in growth plans.
• Set Talent Development Properties
  Set properties to control manager skill approvals and activity completion flows.
• Create a Talent Development Core featured growth item
  Use the Featured Growth Items table to define the roles, skills, and opportunities that appear in the Featured by your company widget. This widget can be used to promote desirable career opportunities and skills that foster growth and development for employees within your organization.

  As an Talent admin you can add Sample Text.
• Add Talent Development Aspirations
  An Talent admin can manage Aspirations that employees create and share.
• Add Talent Development Aspirations Types
  As an Talent admin you can add or manage Aspiration Types, which are used to identify employee aspirations.
• Add Talent Development Interests
  As a Talent Development Core admin, you can add Interests that help employees understand and create an aspiration.
• License Talent Development Core users
  Talent Development Core uses the Employee Profile licensing feature to license user.
• View Talent Development Core licensed profiles
  You can view a list of profiles that are licensed for Talent Development.
• View Growth plans related information in the Now Assist Admin console
  From the Now Assist Admin console, view related information for Growth plans created with the help of Now Assist.
• Achievements and Credentials in Talent Development Core
  View all types of user credentials acquired outside the current organization (currently populated from Credly) in Achievements and Credentials.
