Managing legal requests
As a member of the legal department, you work on legal requests submitted by employees to resolve their issues or to answer their queries.
When an employee submits a legal request, it is automatically assigned to a group or user in the legal department. The assignment is done based on assignment rules configured in the intake form of the associated practice area. If the request is assigned to a legal group, the group lead can triage the request to themselves or to any member in the assignment group.
Fulfillers can also mark requests as privileged and confidential. When privileged and confidential is enabled, the system restricts access to authorized stakeholders, and marks communications with confidentiality banners. For more information, see Attorney-Client Privilege.
When a requester creates a legal request under the incorrect Practice Area and Category, the legal fulfiller can transfer the request to the correct Practice Area and Category. The transferred request contains all the relevant details copied from the old request, including the attachments. The fulfiller can submit the request or send the request back to the requester to complete.
Note: The external storage options that support attachments in a transferred request are Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive.
