Close a legal hold matter

Close a legal hold matter once the legal hold is officially lifted.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_lg_hold.legal_hold_fulfiller

Procedure

1. Navigate to All > Legal Request > Legal Counsel Center.

2. Select the List icon (

1. In the Default lists tab, navigate to Matters > All

2. Select the legal hold matter that you want to close.

3. Select Close complete.

4. Enter your comments in the Close complete matter pop-up window.

5. Select OK.

Result

All the custodians receive the mail stating that the legal hold is released.

The message Legal matter has been closed appears in the Activity section.

In the legal hold matter page, the state changes from Work in progress to Closed Complete.
