Using Legal Conflict of Interest

Employees who engage in activities that could potentially conflict with their primary employment duties can disclose these potential conflicts and obtain the legal clearance by submitting a request.

Employees can submit disclosures using the intake form in the Employee Center or through the conversational interface of Now Assist in Virtual Agent.

  1. The legal user submits a new conflict of interest disclosure request by selecting the appropriate conflict type.
  2. The risk assessment evaluates the request and assigns a risk level (Low, Medium, or High) based on the calculated risk score.
  3. The conflict of interest disclosure request enters a predefined approval workflow depending on the risk level.
  4. The conflict of interest fulfiller reviews and either approves or rejects the submitted request.
  5. The final decision is communicated to the employee via email notification.
  6. A corresponding record is automatically generated in the system.

  7. Submit COI request form Employee Center
Submit a request to obtain the legal clearance before you involve in any activity that might pose a risk of potential conflict with the primary employer duties.

  8. Update an existing conflict of interest disclosure request
Update an existing conflict of interest disclosure request to obtain the legal clearance again before it expires. You might want to get fresh approvals for an extension of the period or for the revised conditions that might pose a risk of potential conflict with the primary employer duties.
  9. Approve or reject a conflict of interest disclosure request
Approve or reject a conflict of interest disclosure request assigned to you or a legal user group of which you're a member.
  10. Update an existing conflict of interest disclosure record
You can update an existing conflict of interest disclosure record to change the validity period or the status of the record.
  11. View risk assessment details
Review the risk assessment results for a conflict of interest disclosure, including the overall risk score, risk level, individual risk factor responses, and the risk assessment report.
