Mobile experience for Health and Safety

Enable your employees to submit health and safety incidents and observations, Job safety analyses (JSAs), access safety knowledge base, and more on their mobile device using the ServiceNow mobile applications.

Employees can use the Now Mobile app to do the following tasks at any time using their mobile device:

• Submit safety incidents and observations online or offline
• Submit safety related questions and compensation claims
• Submit Job safety analyses
• Take safety inspection and audit surveys
• View safety register documents such as Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
• Access company's health and safety knowledge base

Safety inspectors and auditors can use the Mobile Agent app to conduct surveys offline.

These apps run on the ServiceNow mobile platform. You can download these mobile apps for the iOS platform from the Apple App Store or for the Android platform from the Google Play Store.

Offline mode for mobile

Use the offline mode of the Mobile Agent and the Now Mobile app to work in areas without an internet connection. You can turn on the offline mode and complete your tasks. Once you go online, the changes are all synchronized automatically. For more information, see Offline mode.

To turn on offline mode on your mobile, do the following:

• Navigate to Settings.
• Tap Download Cache.
• Enable the Offline Mode option.

Tip: To schedule a periodic download of cache, configure the glide.sg.offline.scheduled_download.enabled system property on your instance. For more information, see .

• Configure mobile apps to access Health and Safety applications
  Configure the ServiceNow mobile apps to access Health and Safety applications for submitting safety incidents, observations, and job safety analyses (JSAs).
• Add Health and Safety launcher tab to Now Mobile app configuration
  Add a Health and Safety launcher screen tab to your Now Mobile app configuration. With this launcher tab, your employees can open the Health and Safety Incident Management application in the Now Mobile app on their mobile device.

  Setup offline mode in the Now Mobile app for Health and Safety so that users can access it even without an internet connection.
• Submit a safety incident or observation through the Now Mobile app
  Submit a safety incident or observation to report it your organization's safety department.

  Report a safety incident or observation in the offline mode-without an internet connection- through the Now Mobile app. Once you go online, the incidents or observations reported offline are synchronized automatically.
• Access safety knowledge articles through the Now Mobile app
  Access your company's health and safety knowledge base on your mobile device using the ServiceNow Now Mobile app.
• Submit a JSA through the Now Mobile app
  Submit a job safety analysis (JSA) to identify hazards related to your job and identify control measures that should be in place at your point-of-work.
• View a safety register document in the Now Mobile app
  View safety register documents for hazardous material on your mobile device using the ServiceNow Now Mobile app.
• Manage Health and Safety incident using the Mobile Agent app
  As a safety agent, you can create or manage a safety incident using the Mobile Agent app.
• Manage safety inspections and audits through the mobile apps
  Use the Mobile Agent or the Now Mobile app apps to manage Health and Safety inspections and audits.
