Open new cases in the same tab with ServiceNow Link Manager for Mozilla Firefox

Follow the steps below to install and activate ServiceNow Link Manager in Mozilla Firefox.

Before you begin

Role required: admin

Procedure

  1. Select the Menu icon in Mozilla Firefox and select Add-ons and themes.
  2. Open the Add-ons for Firefox site, search for ServiceNow Link Manager, and select Add to Firefox.
  3. In the pop-up that appears, select Add to confirm installation.
  4. Once installed, the extension appears in your add-ons list. It is enabled by default. You can toggle it to on or off as needed.
  5. You can pin the extension to the toolbar for quick access.

Procedure

  1. Select the Menu > Add-ons and themes > Extensions.
  2. Locate the ServiceNow Link Manager toggle switch and turn it on.

Note: The ServiceNow Link Manager extension turns on automatically in CSM and ITSM Workspace. It doesn't run in other ServiceNow workspaces.

Links typically open in a new browser tab. When ServiceNow Link Manager is activated, links consolidate into an already open ServiceNow workspace tab. This consolidation applies whether the link is clicked within ServiceNow itself or from an external site such as Gmail, Microsoft Teams, or Microsoft Outlook.
