Integrating a self-configured bot with Slack workspace
Enables ServiceNow® Virtual Agent to allow multiple ServiceNow instances to integrate with single Slack workspace. This integration also supports GCC deployments.
The Virtual Agent integration with Slack creates a one-to-one association between the ServiceNow instance that you are installing from and the Slack workspace in which the integration runs. By default, Virtual Agent supports one-click installation that integrates one Slack workspace with one ServiceNow instance. However, by enabling this integration, Virtual Agent allows you to integrate multiple ServiceNow instances with a single Slack workspace. You can integrate multiple ServiceNow instances with a single Slack workspace by creating a bot for each of the instances on the targeted Slack workspace.
- Create a bot in Slack
You must create a self-configured bot in the targeted workspace in Slack to be able to integrate with the Virtual Agent. - Retrieve self-configured bot details
Retrieve the details of the bot that you created in the Slack workspace to integrate with the ServiceNow instance. - Integrate your ServiceNow instance with a self-configured bot
Add the self-configured bot to your ServiceNow instance to complete the integration with Slack. - Manage the self-configured bot integration with Slack
Manage your Conversational Integration with Slack application, its branding, and customize the self-configured bot-specific messages in your ServiceNow instance after integration. - Remove the self-configured bot integration with Slack
Remove the self-configured bot integration from your ServiceNow instance to disassociate the Slack app.
